The Arrival

| December 7, 2010

I know, I know… I left you waiting with bated breath but — at long last –IT HAS ARRIVED!

After a few weeks of bug fixes and other tweaks, Vialogues (note the “s”) is now ready for public consumption.

To see it for yourself, visit it at https://vialogues.com

Loyal fans of the site will notice the aesthetic differences immediately. To everyone else, this is (hopefully!) a great first impression.

So let’s take a quick tour of the place, shall we? The homepage now prominently displays featured content that highlights the different types of conversations that can be captured within a vialogue. Don’t know where to start? Go there! And while you’re at it, jump in on the conversation! The rest of the page is separated into “Recent Vialogues” and “My Vialogues”. If you haven’t created or participated in any Vialogues, “My Vialogues” space will be blank for you initially. Pretty simple to follow so far, right? And that’s the beauty of it all.

Simplicity reigned supreme during this redesign process. The Vialogues team went through painstaking measures to test for ease of navigation. Still, we find that we run into hiccups but, as always, we welcome your feedback and suggestions to improve Vialogues. Your opinion matters to us—it can (and has!) led to feature additions within various releases. With every milestone marked improvements are made both in functionality and, thanks to this feedback, your experience. To leave your thoughts, follow the “Feedback” link near the bottom of any page on the Vialogues site.

I should also mention that we have introduced our pricing scheme. For more info on this, check out the release notes here.

On behalf of the Vialogues team, I invite you to explore our made-over video discussion tool.

Thank you to members of the EdLab and all of our current users for offering the inspiration and support necessary for pulling off such an achievement as this redesign.
